Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Duohem is built for two parents sharing one calendar. This policy explains what we store to make that work – and that we do not sell data, show ads, or use it for anything else.

Who is responsible

Dalsten Group, Sweden, is the controller for your personal data in Duohem. Contact: dalstengroup@outlook.com.

What we store

Who can see it

Everything in a family calendar is visible to both parents in it – that is the purpose of the app. Nobody else can see it. Health notes about a child are only stored because you add them; add only what both parents should be able to see.

Why (legal basis)

To provide the service you asked for (contract): the account, the shared calendar, messages, expenses, notifications and Premium. Our legitimate interest in a working, secure app: anonymous usage and crash data. Information about health that you choose to add about your child is stored at your explicit request and can be removed by you at any time.

Where it is stored

In Google Firebase (Google Cloud) in the EU: the database in Belgium/the Netherlands, photos in Belgium. Push notifications go through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple. Purchases are handled by RevenueCat (USA) under EU standard contractual clauses. These providers process data only on our behalf.

How long

As long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile is deleted at once. What you wrote in the shared record (messages, expenses) stays for the other parent until they delete the family calendar too. Backups are overwritten within 35 days.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data. Most of it you can do in the app; for anything else, email us. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local data protection authority.

Children

Duohem is for parents. Children do not use the app and no child has an account.
