Duohem vs OurFamilyWizard, 2houses and TalkingParents
Co-parenting apps differ most in one thing: whether each parent pays, or one subscription covers the family. Below is what each app publishes on its own pricing page (checked 2 October 2026). Prices change – check the apps' sites before you decide.
| Who pays | Price | Languages | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duohem | One Premium covers the whole family; free plan for both parents | Free; Premium €6.99 a month or €49.99 a year per family; 14-day trial without a card | 14 |
| OurFamilyWizard | Each parent needs a separate subscription | From $9.17 a month per parent (Basic, billed annually); Essentials, Premium and Max cost more | English |
| 2houses | One parent subscribes for the whole family | €8.25 a month or €99 a year; 14-day trial | 6 |
| TalkingParents | Each parent pays separately; all plans paid since 30 March 2026 | $7, $16 or $32 a month per parent | English |
What they have in common
All four offer a shared calendar and messaging between the parents. TalkingParents and Duohem both keep messages permanent so neither parent can delete them. OurFamilyWizard and TalkingParents add documented calls and payments; 2houses adds a family journal and access for mediators.
Where Duohem is different
- Fair to both homes: the other parent never has to pay, and one Premium covers both.
- Each parent uses the app in their own language – useful for families across borders.
- Custody schedules including your own day-by-day rotation, day-swap requests that update the calendar when accepted, and expenses that settle into one balance.
- Free tools on this site that work without any app: schedule templates, holiday planners, travel consent letters, parenting plans and child-support calculators.
Where others may suit you better
If you need documented phone or video calls, built-in payments between parents, or a record format that a US court already knows, OurFamilyWizard or TalkingParents may fit better. 2houses has been on the market longer and offers access for professionals.
