Starting on a Monday, the children stay in home 1 for 14 nights: two complete weeks from Monday through the second Sunday. At the agreed handover time on the following Monday, they move to home 2.

The children then stay in home 2 for 14 nights, covering the next two weeks. After those 14 nights, they return to home 1, and the same 28-day pattern begins again.
