How it is calculated
Underhållsstöd in 2026 is 1,673 kr a month up to the month the child turns 7, 1,823 kr up to the month they turn 15, and 2,223 kr after that. The parent who doesn't live with the child repays Försäkringskassan: (yearly income − 120,000 kr) × 14% (1 child), 11.5% (2) or 10% (3) per child, divided by 12 and never more than the support. Underhållsstöd is not paid when the child lives alternately with both parents (växelvis boende) – since 2021 families may instead get a special housing allowance.

Yes. Parents can agree on underhållsbidrag between themselves; Försäkringskassan has a voluntary tool to help.
Is underhållsstöd paid with växelvis boende?
No, not since 2021. A special housing allowance for children who live alternately may be possible.
What about contact days?
With at least 30 full days a year by a decision or approved agreement, the repayment is reduced by 1/40 per day.
